How to make brigadeiros
Brigadeiro is a traditional Brazilian dessert that will make the lives of all chocolate lovers a little bit sweeter!
Brigadeiros are generally shaped into small balls covered in chocolate sprinkles and placed in a small cupcake liner, and it is very popular especialy in events suth as birthdays parties.

Ingredients
- 1 400g can condensed milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 20 mini baking cups
Preparation
- Pour the all the ingredients into a heavy based pan.
- Mix it very well.
- Cook on a medium-high heat for at least 10 minutes.
- Continuously stir the mixture to prevent the bottom from burning. The mixture will gradually thicken and darken in colour.
- The cooking is done (more or less 10 minutes) when the mixture easily comes away from the surface of the pan and you can make a trench through the mixture which holds.
- Cool the brigadeiro and stiffen on a cold surface or within the refrigerator for 10 minutes. When ready, the brigadeiro should be easy to hold and malleable like a soft fudge.
- Roll small portions of the mixture between the palms of your hands until you get a perfect sphere with a glossy shine. Place your Brazilian truffles onto a non-stick surface.
- Roll your truffles in a coating in chocolate sprinkles.
- You can have some fun coating yours brigadeiros in others options like hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, coconut or even plain old cocoa powder. You can really be as adventurous as you wish.
